Brown liqueur spills around crystal blocks
it pools together below shrinking cubes
lightening in mere moments, dilluting bliss
yellow sweet and sour trickles down
mingling – not blending – within the glass
Peace, quiet not served ’till eight
but soothing the mood minutely earlier
my amaretto mixed in moderation now.

Amaretto!!! My fave! Really love amaretto sours, and mixed with cranberry juice. Haven’t had an after dinner version in a while! Good thing it’s Friday! Lovely words, as always!
