I’d seen people earning and handing out “Klout points” a while ago. But honestly, it seems like there are so many online networks begging for my presence that it’s invasive. (I admit that none have personally asked me to link up, but you know what I mean…)
Anyway, Twitter flashed a half dozen “I’m sharing my Klout offer with you” updates within the course of an hour featuring a “free” Shutterfly professionally printed hardbound book (8×8 size) for the cost of shipping – $7.99 plus tax. I printed a simple wedding album a few weeks back using a similar offering and it was beautifully crafted. So for less than $9, getting a new book made felt like a steal.
I chose to showcase a few of my favorite images from several photo sessions I’ve done through my fledgling business, 10k Words Photography. I think it came out pretty much perfect:

And now I’m a bonified Klout earning member, though I hardly know how points are awarded and what they’re good for.
