I Heart Faces: Photo prop

Whenever I plan out some elaborate photo shoot, my kids always find ways to thwart the planning efforts. They’re both free spirits and do things when they want to, which is most often not when Mommy would like. Sometimes, though, convincing them to show off some toy, trinket, device, or some such that they’ve newly acquired or rediscovered is enough distraction from my objective to get them to jump into action in front of my camera.

Yadon-Daytona 2011

This alligator acquired in Orlando’s Gatorland last year? Not enough to get cooperation. Ya just would not give Mommy a send it home to Gram worthy photo.

Then again, why try to hide my son’s abundant personality with a perfectly posed smile?
